Welcome to Medea
Precision medicine telehealth platform for midlife women.
Beyond symptom relief. Built to protect long-term health.
Precision hormone therapy. Cardiometabolic risk reduction. Bone, brain, and gut health — all guided by advanced biomarkers and functional medicine. Virtual care in multiple languages.
Who Medea Is For
You're a midlife woman (35-65+), who:
Is navigating perimenopause or menopause, and standard care isn't cutting it.
Has "normal" labs, but you live with brain fog, fatigue, weight changes, mood shifts, disrupted sleep, or joint pain that no one explains.
Wants evidence-based hormone therapy (HRT) when it's right for you, and nonhormonal strategies when it's not.
Cares about more than symptom relief. You want to know your cardiovascular risk, your bone density trajectory, your metabolic and inflammatory markers, and what to do about them now, not after a diagnosis.
Wants a clinician who understands functional medicine, looks at the whole system, hormones, gut, metabolism, inflammation, cognition, and builds a plan that evolves with your biology.
May need care in your native language , Georgian, Portuguese, Russian, or Spanish, and want a clinician who understands the cultural dimensions of your health experience.
If you've been told "it's just menopause" or "just wait it out" — Medea was built for you.
How Medea Works
Your care journey in five steps:
1. Deep-Dive Consultation
A 60-minute virtual visit with your Medea clinician to understand your full story — symptoms, health history, family risk, goals, and what conventional care may have missed.
2. Precision lab testing (insurance-friendly)
We start with targeted, insurance-friendly labs to understand what’s driving your symptoms and long-term risk. We look for patterns across cardiometabolic health, inflammation, thyroid function, micronutrients, gut function, and cancer risk signals — so your plan is based on data
3. Your Personalized Protocol
An evidence-based, functional medicine care plan built around your results. This includes insurance- friendly bioidentical hormone therapy (HRT/MHT) when appropriate, nonhormonal options when hormones are contraindicated, targeted nutrition and supplements, lifestyle interventions, and root-cause treatment for what your biomarkers reveal.
4. Ongoing Clinical Support
Regular virtual follow-ups to track your response, adjust protocols, answer questions, and make sure you feel heard, not rushed.
5. Longitudinal Health Tracking
Continuous biomarker monitoring over time so you can see, in real data, how your cardiovascular, metabolic, hormonal, bone, and cognitive health are improving. This is how early intervention becomes long-term prevention.
Why Medea Is Different
Symptom relief AND disease prevention in one place.
Most menopause platforms focus on managing hot flashes and prescribing HRT. Medea does that — and goes further. Every protocol is designed to relieve current symptoms while actively reducing long-term risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, cognitive decline, and cancer. This dual focus is what makes Medea fundamentally different from standard menopause telehealth.
Hormone therapy done right, and alternatives when needed.
Medea offers personalized menopausal hormone therapy (HRT/MHT) based on the latest evidence — right timing, right route, right dose, within the appropriate window for cardiovascular and bone protection. When hormones are contraindicated, Medea provides evidence-based nonhormonal approaches — because every woman deserves effective care regardless of her medical history.
Functional medicine at the systems level.
Rather than treating each symptom in isolation, Medea evaluates interconnected systems — hormonal, metabolic, cardiovascular, gut, inflammatory, and cognitive — to find root causes and intervene early, often before disease appears on a standard panel.
Biomarkers guide every decision.
Advanced testing reveals what is actually happening at the cellular and metabolic level. Protocols are built on data, adjusted based on data, and tracked over time with data — not guesswork, not symptom checklists alone.
Multilingual, culturally aware care.
Available in English, Georgian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. Medea understands that health experiences, communication styles, and medical histories vary across cultures — and that midlife women from immigrant communities deserve care that reflects their lived reality.

Longevity-Focused Medicine
Our goal is simple and ambitious: help you thrive for decades, with vitality, strength, and resilience, not just “get through” perimenopause and menopause. Medea Health was built to bring evidence-based, precision functional medicine and prevention-focused care to the midlife years, when risks for heart disease, osteoporosis, cognitive decline, diabetes, and cancer begin to rise.
Founded by Dr. Ketevan Shavliashvili — MD, MBA, PhD candidate in Clinical & Translational Medicine, IFM-trained Functional Medicine specialist, Harvard Women's Health & Menopause certificate — Medea combines advanced science with deep cultural understanding.
As a twice-immigrant physician-scientist, fluent in five languages, Dr. Shavliashvili has designed protocols, developed clinical approaches and built Medea to serve midlife women from all backgrounds, ensuring comprehensive care that honors their whole story.
